Second Wind Computers was founded on the premise that computing does not require a huge investment.  We have found that as the speed of computers increases, the demand for older “quality” systems increases.

Our philosophy is simple.  We stay just behind the new cutting edge computer technology to provide you the most value for your money.  We understand that some consumers have requirements for very sophisticated computers.  However, through our experience, we have found that many users do not, and in some cases, cannot afford a large investment for a system with extras that they really don’t need.  Our systems can handle realistic needs like, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, limited gaming, and Internet access.  Hardware demands are less for these type applications and so is the price.

The question of warranty and useful lifetime is a common question.  “Will I be outdated by purchasing an older computer?”  The answer lies in the software you will be utilizing.  For word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet access, all of our computers will function very well for years to come.  For graphical intense programs and heavy gaming, some may be limited in performance.  The question is, “What is it that you want to do with your computer?”  Most of the time, the answer will fall within our computer structure.

As to warranty, the majority of our computers and notebooks are end of lease corporate systems.   We warranty every system for a period of ninety (90) days from the date it is delivered to you.   For refurbished system parts that are purchased separately, i.e., monitors, hard drives, memory, keyboards, mouse, CD ROM drives, and CPU’s, and etc., a warranty of forty-five (45) days from the purchased date will apply.  All new merchandise carries the applicable manufacturers’ warranty.

We hope to gain your confidence and your potential business – one system at a time!
